Stopping power for a 2.5 tonne luxury SUV
A Range Rover is heavy and fast, so brakes, steering and suspension components work harder than on a normal car. Our technicians have looked after Range Rover running gear for more than 20 years and fit parts that match the original performance.
Brake services
- Front and rear brake pads with new wear sensors
- Brake discs, including performance and large-diameter discs
- Calipers, slider pins and brake hoses
- Brake fluid replacement, recommended every two years
- Electronic parking brake service mode and repairs
Steering and suspension
Knocks, clunks and vibrations usually come from worn control arm bushes, ball joints, anti-roll bar links or wheel bearings. We inspect the car on the lift, explain what is worn and replace only what is needed. We also repair power steering leaks, steering racks and track rod ends.
Vibration problems
Vibration can come from brakes, wheel balance, tyres, driveshafts or the engine mounts. We road test and inspect to find the exact source before replacing anything.
For air suspension faults see air suspension repair, and include a brake check with your next Range Rover service.
Signs you should book this in
- Brake pad wear warning on the dash
- Squealing or grinding when braking
- Steering wheel vibration under braking
- Car pulls to one side
- Knocking over bumps or speed breakers
- Steering feels heavy or makes noise
