Engine specialists for every Range Rover
Range Rover engines are powerful and refined, but each one has known weak points. After more than 20 years working on them in Sharjah, our technicians know where to look first and how to fix the root cause, not just clear the warning light.
Engines we work on
- 5.0 V8 supercharged (P525, SVR, Autobiography)
- 3.0 V6 supercharged petrol
- 3.0 Ingenium straight six petrol and diesel, including mild hybrid
- 2.0 Ingenium four cylinder (Evoque, Velar, Discovery Sport)
- 4.4 SDV8 and 3.0 TDV6 / SDV6 diesel
- 4.4 twin turbo V8 in the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport
Common Range Rover engine repairs
Timing chains: worn guides and tensioners on the 5.0 V8, and chain stretch on Ingenium engines, cause a cold start rattle and fault codes. Left too long, a chain can jump and cause serious damage.
Cooling system: plastic coolant pipes, water pumps and thermostat housings age quickly in UAE heat. Overheating is the fastest way to damage a cylinder head, so a dropping coolant level should never be ignored.
Oil leaks: valve cover gaskets, front crank seals and oil cooler seals are common. We pressure and dye test to find the real source.
Misfires and power loss: coils, plugs, injectors, vacuum leaks and sensors. Our diagnostic equipment reads live data so we test rather than guess.
Rebuilds and replacement engines
When an engine needs major work, we explain the options clearly: a rebuild in our workshop, a reconditioned unit or a good used engine. You get the cost of each and our honest recommendation.
