Range Rover transmission specialists
A Range Rover gearbox should shift so smoothly you barely feel it. When it starts to jerk, slip or show a fault message, the right diagnosis matters, because a replacement transmission is one of the most expensive repairs on the car. Our technicians have been repairing Range Rover transmissions in Sharjah for more than 20 years.
Gearboxes we repair
- ZF 6HP26 and 6HP28 six speed (Range Rover L322, Sport L320, Discovery 3 and 4)
- ZF 8HP45 and 8HP70 eight speed (Range Rover L405, Sport L494, Velar, Discovery 5, Defender)
- ZF 9HP48 nine speed (Evoque and Discovery Sport)
- Transfer cases, front and rear differentials and propshafts
What we commonly fix
Fluid service: fresh ZF fluid and filter pan, filled and checked at the correct temperature with our diagnostic equipment. This is the most effective way to extend gearbox life in hot climates.
Leaks: the mechatronic connector sleeve and sump pan are common leak points on ZF 6 and 8 speed gearboxes. Low fluid causes harsh shifts and can damage clutches.
Shift quality: solenoids, mechatronic units, speed sensors and software adaptations. We read live transmission data before recommending parts.
Transfer case: motor faults, clunks and fluid changes on the Range Rover and Sport transfer box.
Honest advice, repair before replacement
Many gearbox problems are solved with fluid, seals, a sensor or a software reset. When a gearbox does need replacing, we will explain the options: new, reconditioned or used, with the cost of each.
